Utah Yamas Controls held an “Energy Services and LED Lighting” users group November 18th at the eBay global campus in Draper, Utah. This event, attended by customers from Utah and Idaho, focused on energy saving strategies and the benefits of upgrading facility lighting to LED utilizing Rocky Mountain Power incentives.
The event was held at the eBay customer service center that was opened in May 2013. Utah Yamas Controls installed StruxureWare Building Operations in the 240,000 square foot facility that obtained LEED gold certification. The campus is home to over 1,800 employees and features a café, fitness center, massage rooms, basketball and volleyball courts and 400-seat auditorium.
Kevin Dyreng, Energy Services Manager for Utah Yamas Controls, spoke in-depth about building commissioning and tuning, sub-metering, BTU balancing and specific items to watch for when analyzing energy usage. Kevin is a graduate from Weber State University with a degree in Electronics Engineering and has over 23 years experience in energy management.
